Baby Boomers

The Baby Boomer generation began close to nine months after the end of World War II. Between 1946 and 1964, 76.4 million babies were born, making up nearly 40% of the nations population. Most people looked forward to having children after the war to give their children a future of prosperity and comfort. Women were urged to leave the workforce and embrace their roles as wives and mothers. Baby Boomers could be persuaded to participate in the purchase of consumer crazes. Two TV shows that would be targeted towards Baby Boomers are 'Jeopardy' and 'The Addams Family'. They were wildly popular TV shows at the time. Two Movies that would appeal to Baby Boomers are 'The Graduate' and 'Easy Rider'. Baby Boomers are attending more live music festivals such as the Bottlerock Festival in Napa and Coachella. Two magazines that would appeal to Baby Boomers are ELDR magazine, which include tips about yoga and interviews with exercising gurus, and GeezerJock which also targets older people who enjoy exercise. It is also suggested that Baby Boomers would enjoy cruises for vacations because they're perfect for relaxation and adventure along with plenty to eat and drink. They would also enjoy a road trip along historic Route 66 which is still drivable.
