A fad that has recently died down is the game Pokemon Go. For a few months, it seemed like everyone had the game on their phones. I would say that the game was targeted towards boys and girls between the ages of 10 and 18 who enjoy the outdoors, exercise and adventure. This game appealed towards these groups of people because it made them go outside and physically search for the characters to add to their collection. It was enjoyable because they could go on "Pokemon hunts" with their friends and got a good amount of exercise. I feel as though the game faded for two reasons. One reason was its repetition. Going out and doing the same thing everyday gets old after a while. When people get bored with one thing they search for the next best thing to do and forget all about the previous game. Another concern was its safety. Kids were getting beat up and endangered at Pokemon Gyms which were places you went to battle Pokemon. The game was good while it lasted and because it ended so recently, nothing has come to replace it yet, but I believe there will be something soon.
